Gardens, theme parks, zoos, as well as museums and galleries can be found here. Some places that shouldn’t be missed are the Chesapeake Planetarium, the Chrysler Museum of Art, the Virginia War Museum, Nauticus, the Norfolk Botanical Garden, and the Virginia Aquarium.
For history buffs, Hampton Roads has a lot of historic downtown districts and the historic triangle of Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. There are also a number of historic homes and historical buildings such as St. Luke’s Church and the Old Nansemond County Courthouse.
